About the Author:

After the Air Force, Jim eventually returned to Minnesota to finish his degree program and received a BFA (Bachelor of Fine Arts) degree from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. He joined a display company in 1971 and worked there, as a designer, for eight years, before buying out the owner. As president of the company, Display Arts Inc., they created exhibits, tradeshow displays, POP (Point of Purchase) displays and marketing-material for corporate accounts, winning many design and display awards. He owned the business for twenty-five years before retiring.

Jim has been writing monthly columns for ten years, called “Observations,” now called “Random Thoughts,” published in Wisconsin and is working on putting them into a book titled “Very Short Stories.” He is also a motorcycle enthusiast with a combined total of fifty years riding motorcycles, American and European.
